Futures Trading Made Simple: Understanding Fybit’s Wallet-Based Model

Understanding how futures trading works is the first step toward confident and responsible trading. Fybit simplifies this process by allowing you to trade directly from your wallet balance using BTC, ETH, or USDT.

1. Balance
Your balance represents the amount available in one of your three Fybit wallets. When you open a trade, funds are taken directly from your wallet. You always know your exact exposure and can never lose more than the amount you’ve placed in a position.

2. Leverage
Leverage multiplies your PNL. For example, with 50× leverage, a 5 USDT position acts as if it were 250 USDT. However, your maximum loss still equals your 5 USDT. Leverage amplifies both profit and risk.

3. Execution Price and Liquidation (Loss Cut Price)
When you open a position, Fybit automatically sets a Loss Cut price, which is the level at which your position will be closed to prevent further loss. It is calculated from your execution price, leverage, and trading fees. Traders can also manually close positions using Sell Market or Sell Limit orders.

4. Stop Loss and Auto-Sell
A Stop Loss closes a position when the market reaches your preset level. The Auto-Sell system can be enabled to take profit automatically once your gain reaches 100%, 200%, or 300%. This feature is perfect for reacting quickly to market swings.

5. Position Merging and Validity
If you open multiple trades in the same direction using the same wallet, they merge into a single averaged position. Each position is valid for up to 120 hours, extendable to 240 hours. Unsold positions are closed automatically at the market price at the end of the period.

6. Opposite Positions
Fybit lets you open both UP and DOWN positions simultaneously. This is a useful tool for hedging or capturing volatility.

7. Deposits and Withdrawals
Deposits and withdrawals are supported in BTC on the Bitcoin network and ETH or USDT on the Ethereum ERC-20 network. There is no minimum deposit, and most withdrawals complete within 5 to 10 minutes.

Fybit’s wallet-based model keeps trading transparent and controlled. You choose the wallet, set the leverage, and manage your risk with precision. Trading designed by real traders, for real performance.
