Filling the main floor of the Miami Beach Convention Center, the exposition hall at Bitcoin 2022 was unlike anything the Bitcoin world had ever seen: a bustling bazaar of Bitcoin-themed goods and Lightning-powered merchants, exhibitors representing every corner of the Bitcoin ecosystem and even a massive, indoor volcano.
So, it might be hard to believe that Bitcoin 2023, the return of the world’s biggest Bitcoin event to Miami from May 18 to May 20, can top it. But with a wide range of brand-new activations, interactive exhibits and more, it will be even bigger and better.
The Bitcoin 2023 Expo Hall will be centered by a 16-foot-tall block clock tower featuring live blockchain visualizations. ringing every time a new Bitcoin block is found. It will be the focal point of Satoshi Square, where the live news desk will be broadcasting to millions with high-profile guests and off-the-cuff event analysis.
Attendees will also find Bitcoin Mining Village, featuring all of the top mining firms in the world as well as a large, interactive installation known as “the cube.” And they’ll have the chance to visit Bisq Square, a physical location to buy and sell bitcoin. Bitcoin ATMs will be present throughout the footprint as well.
Of course, the Expo Hall will be home to the return of the Bitcoin Bazaar, which will host more than 30 vendors, all accepting bitcoin payments through the Lightning Network, selling apparel, art, crafts, 3D prints and a wide range of other unique items.
And, speaking of the Lightning Network, Ibex will be hosting a Lightning-enabled food court in the Expo Hall.
The Expo Hall will also host one of the Bitcoin Conference Series’ most popular and striking exhibitions: the annual art gallery, which will be bigger than ever and accompanied by a pioneering Ordinal Alley.
Another activation brought back popular demand will be the bullish bull riding. And, for those seeking even more competition, this area will host the Bitcoin Games, a series of competitions in which local meetups from around the country compete to win one full bitcoin.
At the Expo Hall’s Bitcoin Magazine lounge, content creators will have access to a podcasting and interview area while attendees can visit “snake duel,” a custom game housed in a bespoke arcade cabinet, commissioned from the ground up, which accepts BTC payments via the Lightning Network to play. Plus, Bitcoiners’ favorite authors will gather in this lounge area to offer book signings.
Attendees will also find the official conference store in the Expo Hall, featuring all of the Bitcoin 2023 swag and Bitcoin-themed collectibles they can’t get anywhere else.
